The Nikko Sterling scopes remind me of basic variable power scopes from the late 90's to early 2000's. Very basic and functional. Nothing really special and an ok starting point. You can get the package deal for a few bucks more than the base rifle some times or even less than base rifle on a sale. If the price is close, I get the one with the scope just for the rings.I saw an opportunity to buy a package rifle for something like $8 more than the gun without the scope. I plan to buy the package just so I can get the scope rings. I figure the rings should be find on a light shooting 6 ARC.
Btw - Are the package scopes any good? I have another scope in the safe I plan to use, but I am curious how bad/good the scopes are.
