Nice, that’s super handy. 2850+ with a 77 seems like a lot of ass for burning 26.5gr of powder. The little 223 case is a gem.

I want to believe the chrono is off. But my recorded speeds with factory loads on this and other rifles match many other peoples recorded results with same barrel lengths and ammo.

I’m very happy even if it’s off 10%.

Is anyone making carbon fiber magazines for the Howa Mini? I started playing with making carbon fiber parts, and was curious if anyone had seen any.

Put my Mini 6 ARC to work this fall.

Your build is exactly what I have in mind. 20" carbon barreled action in a VG stock without a magazine dropping down.

This thread has put me over the top and just pulled the trigger.
Ordered the Howa 20" Carbon barreled action from Brownells. (10% off and free shipping saved me about $85)
Backordered the Stockys VG Carbon Sagebrush stock (Kim said 6-8 weeks and the 30% rokslide discount helps)
Just need to order the Jefferson Outdoors bottom metal once its available again.

Will run my 6" Banish Backcountry on this rifle - should be a sweet little 5-600 yard lightweight mnt gun. 105 scenars and maybe the 108s....

I have to imagine a setup like this with a can has next to no recoil and very very quiet?

I got lucky and reached out to stockys about two weeks ago. Gave me a great price on the vg, and it shipped like two days later.

I’m going to be bedding both my 6mm and my wife’s .223 at same time at some point in the next couple of months.

Anyone shooting the 95 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip out of the 6arc....That is a great .243 hunting bullet for a 0-5/600 yard rifle. With the 20" barrel, I'm guessing 2750-2800 FPS would be achievable?
I was thinking the same thing - elsewhere in these threads it’s mentioned as the ideal bullet for the .243 I can’t think of why it wouldn’t be great in the ARC unless it requires higher upset velocities?

I have some I intended to load and will. 1st attempt didn't work out. Nbts were slightly undersized, factory new alpha brass was oversized, need to size the cases before loading I guess. I'll revisit it soon. I was hoping to get 2700 out of my 16" barrel.

What powder are you planning to try with the 95's? I will have a 20" barrel - 2800FPS would sure be nice...

For what it's worth I got 2720ish fps with a 30gr of Lever out of the factory 20" Howa barrel. That's about middle of the Hornady range for the bolt gun data and didn't show any pressure behavior.

Accuracy wasn't very good though.

From my experience, lever groups leave a lot to be desired until you’re at or near or above listed Max loads.

I got 2800fps with 95tmk and lever in 16” barrel at 2.3” OAL. I was cratering primers. 2700-2750 all day no issues.

Youll get 2800 in a 20” barrel with lever no issue I’d think
