I'm going to go the Howa Mini route when LSI releases them to the market. If they do a 22" sporter and a shorter heavier barrel, I'll probably go with the 22" sporter like I got with the 6mm ARC.
Same plan. Thinking about getting a barreled action from Brownells and cutting the 22" to 20" and then either the B&C M40 style or another Stockys VG stock for it. Trying to keep the suppressed length equal to a 26" barreled rifle.

That's my only beef with my 22" sporter Howa Mini 6 ARC. With the adapter and can, its probably 27 to 28" inches. It's not heavy, but a little on the long side.

22 ARC Minis are slated to start hitting shelves this month.

Called brownells to see if they'd be getting any barreled actions and got nothing other than the least helpful CS person I have ever spoken to 🤣

Guy at LSI said Brownells will not have any barreled actions from the first allotment which is already sold out, so everyone should call Brownells and tell them to get on board for the March/April shipment!

The two people I spoke with at LSI weren’t very friendly.

They will not sell you a bolt unless you’re an FFL either.

I got an email with the phrase “Willy nilly” in it from them, to tell me they wouldn’t.

Told me all I need to know about trying to deal with them. I’ll wait for any product I want to make it into other hands first.

Wonder if you could get one in 223 have the bolt face slightly opened to fit the ARC case head and if there's enough shank on the barrel to set it back the .225 thou or there abouts needed to rechamber one in 22 ARC??

You can get one of these in HB 223 shipped free for $366. Not sure what it would cost to have the bolt face slightly opened up and barrel set back then rechambered in 22 ARC but, IF, it would work and IF you could get the work done for 300-ish bucks maybe it could make for a way to get one much sooner and not have a great deal invested in one of these things but you'd still need a stock too.

Lot of "if's" there and sometimes things don't work out the same in reality even when they could/should work on paper. Just a thought.

Buy an ARC replacement bolt, and magazines.

Sell your .223 bolt, and magazines for about the same price. Maybe lose 50.00.

Length of chamber is about a quarter inch longer for the .223 versus the ARC. I don’t think you’ll have an issue rechambering and setting barrel back that amount. May have to take up to 3/8.

I’ll have to look at my .223 chamber in morning, but I would think it’s a pretty simple job.

If you’re paying a smith to do it though, I’d just buy a prefit.
