Howa Mini - 6 arc assembled - Initial Thoughts

Stockys CF stock came in and put it together for a dress rehearsal. Outside was finished very well and no complaints. Inside the inletting was nice and tight/straight, however as expected, when I bolted the action in it pulled the barrel against the stock so it wasn't floated. Taking the rifle to my local smith to bed and free float the barrel. Once this is done, Ill take it apart, degrease everything and put it together for good.

The rifle with suppressor and optics is 7 pounds 3 oz, 6 pounds 9 oz without suppressor. Really excited to get this rifle out and see how she shoots once bedded. This package is a full 2 pounds lighter than the Tikka 7 rem mag I have been running the last 4-5 years. Will be shooting 106 Taps and 108 ELDms with Leverevolution....Will be looking for accuracy and 27-2750 FPS.

If it all comes together would love to test it on a spring black bear in a couple months....

I’m in the same boat as you. Waiting on my smith to have mine ready. Essentially the same set up as you. Different scope and rings but very similar. My patience is thinning. Hopefully later this week or early next week.

Finally got mine from the smith. Shoots like a dream. I put 20 rounds of Hornady black 105’s through it initially. Then about 20 reloaded 87 gr VMax. The chrono for the first 20 was close to 2630 fps. The 87 gr was 2850. Using CFE 223.

The intent will be to shoot 90 or 103 gr eldx.

I’m excited to see what it does as the breakthrough process is done.
