This post is a shoutout for TBone Shipwrighting in Australia, I am not connected with them in anyway but just impressed with their work.
Late last year I had a 6cm built on a Howa 1500 SA. First range trip out every shot punched holes straight through my LR primers due to slop around the firing pin and the OD of the pin. I'm not new to having bolts bushed, so I started to make enquiries.
TBone have a laser welder on site, from what I understand they filled in the firing pin hole, re drilled, machined flush, then ground the pin to suit, all with zero change to headspace. Problem solved, and it only took them 4 weeks for a complete turnaround.
Would highly recommend them
We don't have a huge amount of options for smiths here in Aus, so I think it's important to recognise great service.
