Good afternoon everyone, I recently took the plunge on buying a suppressor with the recent $200 discount and decided it was time to shuffle a new hunting rifle into the safe to use it. I picked up a Brownells Howa 1500 barreled action in .30-06 with the sporter contour barrel and a Stocky’s Carbon Fiber factory second stock. Does anyone have a recommendation on torque values on the action screws that they’d suggest I stay my load development at? I’m new to carbon stocks and don’t know how strong stockys carbon bedding is when it comes to action screw torque. Additionally, do these rifles seem to favor any particular grain of bullet or powder charge? I’m going to be working with H4350 and 165 gr game kings. I’ve used one of these with a moderator for cropping in Namibia and if this new one shoots as well, I’m going to be thrilled. Thanks!
