How to: Sight in your Black Gold adjustable sight

Thanks for the setup guide! Just setup my custom Ascent Assault today on my Bowtech Realm. Your point about setting up the dial flush and using the the floater to dial in at specific closer distances is something I didn't consider!

Quick question - The windage micro adjust knob is quite a bit right, over into the "dial of death" and interferes with comfortably turning the dial. Is there any remedy to this, such as adding a spacer plate to the bow? I have the standard mount arm.

You can move the sight laterally using the technique in this article. We can also get you a longer dial knob depending on how old the sight is. They shortened it a bit in the last 9 months or so.

Rob-
After individually adjusting my pins I notice a rattle in the sight housing after my shot. I checked tightness of all the screws and it still occurs. Any thoughts? Just started and haven’t had a lot of time to really get a lookover.

Thanks. It is the pro sight.

Thank you for purchasing from S&S! The only real known cause of buzz or rattle on a Black Gold sight can be in the gang adjustment. A lot of times guys will not get the clamps tight enough. I would tighten both down till they feel tight, and then do another 1/4 turn. Other than that, i would reach out to Black Gold. They have awesome customer service!

That could be it. Appreciate the feedback. And yes BG customer service is awesome. They have always taken care of me, but thought I’d give it a shot here first.

I have 2 bows I am setting up right now....I am leaning towards the Reign 6 with Burris Oracle....if that sight holds up to Elk hint I think it will be a keeper.....I am so glad I ran into this thread. I am usually a ground hunter but recently switched to treestands and never had to adjust 3rd axis before....
