How to improve shooting

Unless you are reenacting the battle of Agincourt there is no reason to shoot dozens of consecutive arrows.
Quality reps are good but fatigued reps are not so good and can be damaging to your improvement.
Stop before you're tired. Shoot 10-12 good form shots then rest 5 minutes, repeat. You can do this at 5 yards in your garage into a good bag target or a Big Shot Ironman target where you focus on form and not a 10 ring.

Finding archery advice on Youtube is like drinking from a fire hose.
Find someone who makes sense to you and stick with it. I like John Dudley's videos. Not overly long and to the point.

For me, Joel Turner is the express lane to target panic but he works great for others including his son.

I believe Joel Turner has helped me but realize it's not for everyone. There are very good command shooters out there. I also agree with quality reps over quantity.

I'm relatively new to archery. Shooting a Mathews Lift. I want to improve my shooting and get better groups and better at range. Besides just putting in a ton of reps, how do you improve? Is it worth hiring a coach?
I’ve shot for decades and hired a coach recently. Rebuilt my shot process.

Putting in a ton of reps helps but if you're shooting incorrectly and don’t know it, you’re just making it worse and harder fix later. A few lessons of someone looking at how I shoot helps structure my training. Big fan.

Agreed with what's been said about reps. Bad reps are bad and frustrating.
For me I look at how my bow fits me first. If my draw is too long I can't hit the broadside of a barn. Once I know that's set I just focus on form. If I start shooting bad I'll take a video on my phone from the side and back to try and diagnose what is breaking down. Typically my release elbow gets out of line.
Messing with stabilizers/weights, grips, etc isn't huge for me, but YMMV

A lot of great information above. I'll add one small tweak. Bottom line, go shoot your bow. Period. No one ever got better just watching YouTube videos, ask me how I know 😒. No amount of tinkering will ever outweigh getting behind your bow. Learn what's correct and by that I mean correct FOR YOU. There's 1000 ways to skin a cat and probably even more to shoot a bow and arrow. Once you find some semblance of what that is shoot QUALITY reps. Practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect. I would much rather have a session where I shoot 20 high quality arrows than 100 mediocre ones. If something doesn't feel right ("right" is something that you will have to learn, as mentioned previously) let down, deep breath correct it then try again. Maybe this is a little sadistic, or overly intense, but I tell myself to earn the privilege of releasing an arrow.

**TL;DR**: Shoot your bow. Shoot quality shots over a high quantity of shots.
