How to get your peak refuel for free (kinda)

So you sign up, look for whatever don’t buy it then you get an email with a bigger discount generally? I live in the Pleistocene era and am not familiar with any of this but it seems like it’s worth looking into.
It’s not a discount but a rewards points back. However like I said, they’re currently out of most of the good places to redeem

Latest rewards acquisition. Redemption options have been hit or miss lately but they generally bring eBay and scheels back.

It is a bummer how often the good stuff seems to disappear, but the program itself is a no brainer. I’ve gotten a ton of money back since I started using it.

Yep but it’s worth it if you aren’t in a rush. Only thing that kind of stinks is when you find a good deal on eBay and there isn’t an eBay redemption available.

Are hitting ok on the 2% back when the stuff is in your cart? Or just letting it sit in your cart to get an email?

I haven’t hit the 2% cash back yet but I did use this money saving hack earlier this week to order some truck parts and saved $185 using one of the codes it auto populated. I downloaded the app on my phone and every checkout screen I hit it generally tries random discount codes and saves some money. Pretty cool.

Another thing...

Shop for something you want online. Add to cart, put in personal details, email etc and continue until you have to pay. Then simply close the tab.

Won't be long until you have emails with discounts and better offers

I have noticed while using this , if you want to buy something that isn’t listed in Capital One’s offers, add it to your cart and then close the page. Check your email, an offer usually arrives within a day.

Dryer is dying and needed replaced. Caught a Black Friday sale and got 15% back buying through cap 1. Just worked out right

How many offers will they generally send? Last night I was looking at chainsaws on Ace Hardwares website and then got a 15% offer this morning. If I continue to wait, will I get a better offer?

That’s a gamble. Sometimes they do better but not always. Usually anything in double digits I’ll jump on rather than chance it and get significantly less

Just downloaded the app yesterday, so question for you all that have been using it.. Added something to my Scheels cart and got a 36% rewards bonus today. So, if I’ve got this straight, this Messenger plus would end up being $349.99 - 36% ($125.99) = $224? Seems too good to be true. Haha.

I'm newer to the Capital One shopping, but that's how Active Junky works. You get that % back in cash (or in this case, to use on gift cards of your choosing for the most part). They were offering 20% back at Scheels for me yesterday, so bought a couple of knives and have $75 in rewards pending. The rewards aren't super quick though - they'll be pending for a bit. Seems good to go.

Kinda but not really. They word it kinda skeezy in the emails. You’ll pay the full amount and in 30ish days get the rewards points back on the 36%.
I’ve found it works best on things I’ve got to buy anyway (dog food etc). If it works where I can buy something like my dryer and get it great but if not, I’m buying it regardless. I try and bank my points for quite a while and cash them in for gift cards for fun stuff like the inreach and what not.
