How to find a reputable outfitter and get a tag for that hunt?

Good input. It is frustrating that finding a good outfitter has become a crap shoot with so many that
don't provide a quality experience. Always good to get good references.

Unfortunately, most of the "good" outfitters are already booked up for all hunts and have returning clients year after year. If one has openings for this year, could be for a reason. And, most outfitters might not take bookings three years from now, they only book a year or two ahead. It's a crap shoot either way, and even if you call references, they could be friends or relatives that will tell you how great their hunt was, but didn't even hunt with the outfitter.

I have a lot of history with notellum creek - walker Powell, birch creek guide service - Brian Campbell he had an excellent rifle session this year 10-11 on bulls, and Cody Cole’s guide service..

All of which I highly recommend.
Thank you kindly!

With a budget of $10,000 for two dudes, I don't see two bull elk in your future.

1. You can't trust the quality of land owner vouchers for $5000 per person. When the going rate for good land owner elk hunts is $15,000-25,000.

2.
Here are some really nice options for $17,000-20,000 for two dudes.

1. High Fence Ranch Hunt in Saskatchewan.

2. British Columbia hunt https://worldwidetrophyadventures.com/trips/wilderness-elk-hunt-in-british-columbia/

3. British Columbia hunt 2

4. Colorado landowner voucher hunts https://worldwidetrophyadventures.com/trips/colorado-affordable-elk-deer-bear-combo-outfitter/
These prices are crazy stupid, you can get two ibex for this and possibly a third and have a better adventure. Could get an ibex and maral combo for both people.

Kind of.

My guy has basic Spanish ibex hunts for about $5000 plus flights.
Trophy fees are for bigger trophies than representative animals are $1200 for bronze, $2500 for silver and $6000-8000 for gold or super gold.

So yes they could shoot two ibex, and fly home for $13000 out the door.

Just hunted kazakhstan $5700 usd no size limit. Was talking more about the $15k to $25k budget you mentioned. Kyrgyzstan is roughly the same for ibex, only western outfitters who book you there charge $9k and upwards.

Regardless of all the pricing, was more basing my comment around that USA is eye-gouging it's hunters

Afraid it's supply and demand Aussie hunter. Getting worse everyday. People are paying 3 grand for a two day turkey hunt.

That’s awesome, the only bummer is you can’t bring the meat home..
