Keep the lighted nock if you like it. The difference in FOC is negligible. With the increased weight you get more momentum but the trade off is of course speed.

For years I shot a Mathews MQ1. It has an IBO rating of 308 ft./s. That’s kind of like pancake syrup in the winter time. Slow. That being said I always got complete penetration shooting white tails using fixed blade broad heads, mostly Thunderheads with Easton FMJ’s and heavy brass inserts.
