How much do you spend per year on hunt raffles?

I’ll throw 200 - 500 on sheep raffles again this year as I doubt I’ll ever feel comfortable spending the cash for one. And usually another 100 or so to the local fire department raffle. That’s pretty much it mostly just donations

I look at the raffles as a donation, never figure on winning. Lots of worthy causes. I’ve won a few things, which is a super nice bonus. Latest was a musk ox hunt at the Sheep Show this year.

Yeah they new archery world record elk was just killed with one. I’ve never heard of them being illegal

People do win... I won the 2017 Fundraising tag for Antelope in CA and killed a buck that netted 86+in B&C.

I average $3-600 a year on raffle tickets across many states.

Not online. WDFW hasn't sold them online for 10-15 years or so. This is from their website:

Raffle tickets are not available to purchase online or over the telephone. Washington gambling regulations prohibit wire sales. You can purchase tickets at any authorized license dealer.

I’ve never bought Washington raffle tickets but I bought lots from company’s like Huntin fool, the Idaho super draw, and Nevadas raffle when I lived in Washington. I didnt realize you couldn’t by Washington’s online. That’s wild for a state with a weed shop every half mile.

As a Washington resident I can't legally purchase raffle tickets online, doesn't matter the raffle at all. Usually is stated in the fine print. What we can do is print out the order form and mail it in. Yes, we have some strange laws. Should be on a RMEF/DU/MDF committee and try to figure out a game that can be played at the banquet that will not run afoul of state gambling laws.

Plead the 5th. It’s hard not to enter raffles that have better odds than state draw tags.

I put less than $1k, but way less. Some years $0

I'm about the unluckiest guy ever. I just don't win things. I'd go to QF banquets, buy $250 of raffle tickets and a couple of gun raffles... Leave with nothing. One year a guy at our table bought like 4 $10 spaces, left with 2 guns.

I'll occasionally throw $20-50 to a good cause in a raffle because it's a donation.

Probably $1000ish. Generally ones that have a cap on the tickets so I at least know what the odds are. I won a pair of NL 10s from the AZ Antelope Foundation on a $20 raffle with 1:300 odds. So it happens. I too view it as a donation to worthy organizations with a small chance at something cool.
