How much am I missing with my current binos... 10x32 Leica

I hunt elk and mule deer in central Idaho. Lots of steep terrain, mixed forests and sagebush, usally covering a few miles and a lot of vert before dawn. I've been getting by with a pair of 20 year old Leica 10x32 Trinovids for the past few years and wondering how many animals I am realistically missing with the small objective and mid glass? Trying to weigh a bino upgrade, ideally a Zeiss SFL in 40 or 50. I know my current optics aren't ideal, but I also don't know how much of the upgrade is just hype. I spend lot of time going up and down steep country, so I like the form factor of these. Then again, maybe with better glass I wouldn't waste so much time poking around? I also considered a apotter.

You might check to see if your Leica is BA model. If so they are considered one of the grail binoculars . Google it up. I have a pair of the Leica BA 10x42 that I would put up against most any bino made today. I tried to love the NL’s but didn’t see a significant difference and my eyes actually like the Leicas. The BA’s have great coated lenses and are also built like a tank , which is their draw back being heavy.

Biggest upgrade you could make is a tripod with same set of binos. I’d take a set of Tascos with a tripod over a set of Swaros with no tripod any day of the week. You can’t pick up movement when you are moving yourself.
