I put 100-150. Its less from sept-dec, and generally more feb-august. But I also shoot rimfire specifically as practice, so while it doesnt count for the poll it counts to me and it definitely counts toward proficiency.

Yearly average, right around 300 a month last few years for centerfire. Less in winter, more in summer. If you put handgun and rimfire in the mix, it would be around 1000 a month. Lucky to be able to walk out of the basement and have a 500 yard range to shoot at.

If I had to go to a public range I wouldn't shoot NEAR as much. I can shoot out to 800 yards on one ranch that's 15 minutes from my house and out to 1 mile at another ranch 20 minutes from my house.

what is your monthly expense firing 500 rounds a month?? Or are we talking 223 rounds?
We don't talk about those things in my household haha

Seriously though I don't worry about it. I handload everything so I tell myself that helps. But I know it doesn't. It's what I love to do so I don't put a price on it. Just like hunting.
