How many of us regularly shoot at long distance for practice?

Hi all,
I haven't shot my compound a great deal over the last few months besides just hunting with it. I'm going to start working on my groups at extended ranges to get me feeling really confident before the fallow rut in 2025.
I was shooting at my local club recently and got this video for the sake of keeping myself accountable and tracking some of my progress.

Does anyone else shoot a fair way out there in practice? I don't really intend on taking shots at game further than 40 metres but I like to think I can be capable of doing so if necessary.

Always practice as far as each setup allows, even though the vast majority of hunting shots I take are well under 20m with the odd one out around 30m when the circumstances permit.
Practicing at longer distances makes closer shots much easier and is good for your confidence.
I always aim at golf tees at every range. As the saying goes - aim small, miss small.

I have a few that are setup for, and I will only use with, fixed blade broadheads. I only practice with the same arrow and fixed blade broadheads that those bows have been set up for, the exact arrow that will be sent at an animal, just sharpen them up before heading out.

have a couple other bows that are setup up for small game/predators that I use the cheap expandables, I practice with field points in with them.

I think for a lot of people it tends to bring up more issues than any kind of fix or good practice.

Need to shoot where you are comfortable watching your float, that can really have as much of more to do with what you are shooting at than how far tho.

When I was shooting compound more I would practice from 60-90 yards a few days a week. I think it makes you better at accepting the floating pin and just executing a shot without focusing so much on a small dot. Also important to practice shooting random distances like 44 or 57 etc and using a fixed pin and figuring out how much to hold off.
