This is great! I'm looking into doing the same thing. Is there a reason to choose Grade 2 titanium over Ti-6Al-4V?

Not sure if you're referencing me or OP. But this is whatvi have. Stove pipe is a test pipe of standard steel shim. Bottom and top of stove sandwich together and hold all loose parts with 4 short bolts. Pipe and stove body roll together.

No worries, kind of my fault for piggy backing the ops thread. I'll snap some more of the body packed tonight. It's pretty slick, I'm quite happy with it. I also over sized some holes and have washers in some places so the weight could be cut down, and rhe pipenis 10' od steel .004, so that could be much lighter.

That looks great! What are you using for the dampener? As mine ages the stove pipe diameter is just a little smaller than it used to be. I’m getting some smoke leaving from around the Hole where the pipe fits in. Your dampener looks nicely sealed and sits on top from what I can tell..

Thanks! I'm using a seek outside 3.5" damper setup that they sell, the updated newer one with the slide in plate. It works great and has the spark arrestor built in. Much better than their older model. It packs fine with the stove pipe too, though I have thought about making a folds flat kifaru style version.

I had the same problem you did. I used a Milwaukee 2.5" metal hole saw, and even in the drill press it ended up oversized. I ended up making a shim plate out of some 007(I think that is the thickness) I had hanging around. Just a like 4"x4" square that I cut a circle in with some sheet metal snips that the damper fits in nice and tight. It had actually worked quite nice and would allow me to experiment with different pipe sizes if I wanted, though 2.5" seeks great. Here are some further pics.

Here are some more pics of how it packs. The nut inserts are awesome, and work great. The tobasco tin has all my pipe rings in it.
