How long have you been "hunting"?

Gosh, 7-8 years old.
BB gun

8-10Marlin M1 22

12-18 carrying dads 308

Bought a REM 700 in 25-06 at 18 and 27 years later I’m somewhere around 84 deer, several guided to their first deer, and untold how many smaller animals.

At 45 I have started trying to go farther away and hunt different animals.
It’s never not fun, and I spend a great deal of time adjusting rifles and refining my skill.

The hardest part now is getting into woods shape and dragging a 200 pound deer up a hill, but I still get after it Sep through Jan 1

If you count bb gun for sparrows about 65 years.
Had a bow at two years old but don't think I had developed the killer instinct yet

My first real hunt was for Turkey in 1989. I carried my own gun and helped my grandpa call in a bird that I promptly missed. I did kill a bird a few days later. Haven't missed an open season spring or fall since for all game available. I went on hunts prior to that with Dad and Grandpa but not as a shooter. I should mention I was 6 yo back then.

Just a few years for big game since moving out west. Picked it up for the first time as an adults. Punched multiple tags most years, at least one every year. Process my own harvests.

About 50 year give or take a year. Started at age 12 with my .22 hunting squirrels and rabbits.
I didnt start hunting bigger game until I was 22 so I been hunting deer , hogs and turkeys for 40 years.

40 plus yrs. Grew up in PA and could start hunting back then at the age of 12. Once I started, I never looked back.
