I've been playing with titanium for muzzle brakes, bolt knobs, bolt arms, thread protectors... pretty much anything I can come up with to make.
The weight savings vs. steel is quite good, but when you talking about saving half an oz. here or a couple oz. there... it doesn't seem like much.
It is fun to turn though, and garnet blasting leaves a really cool finish.
