How good is the Peax Torrid stove?

Yeah it hadn't been used. It popped off during assembly. Yeah they are 20% off on gohunt right now so only $380 and it includes the stove pipe.

Yeah I saw that and that’s what might push me over the edge to try it. I usually buy things that all well tested but I may gamble on this if they seem willing to want to make it right with any issues.

Yes. My hunting buddies used a different brand stove and theirs wasn’t as well thought out. I would go to sleep warm and quickly could get it going again in the mornings.

The only caveat, which may not be one at all, is that it did get a little Smokey in my tent at night. This might be normal for a compact stove. It seemed to mostly come from the area where the side piece met the bottom plate. The smoke wasn’t so bad it really bothered me much.

My opinion hasn't changed. If I lost my torrid stove today for some reason I would immediately buy another one to replace it. Lightweight, easy to assemble, swinging door. It's got it all.
