How fast do OTC NR Sawtooth B tags really sell out?

Joined a group of buddies that have a drop camp and a couple outfitter tags for 2020 rifle elk. I am hoping to snag an OTC tag when they go on sale in May. Has anyone done this and been successful? I have been told to set up an account and buy my license in advance. Anyone have any experience or tips in the process? If two of us are trying simultaneously, do you think it will help? At least I will have a mule deer tag to fall back on! Thanks in advance!

Never tried for that tag but from what I hear it is a virtual impossibility and total luck. Similar to what people said on here with the Diamond Creek tags. Its all about luck in who gets through/survives the website crashes etc. I dont think there is any rhyme or reason to who gets them as there will be 20x the amount of people than there are tags trying to refresh at the same time.

They sell out faster than you got your first post typed up asking about how long it takes. It's crazy. Cool scenery. Tough if you aren't used to the steeps.

I think it was under two minutes last year online. Hell, the resident in person tags went in under five minutes.

They need to quit ******* with people and make it a draw hunt. So stupid!
