How do you EDC your knife?

I carry a thin fixed blade with a kydex sheath. The sheath has a paracord teather tied to the tip then girth hitched to my belt. I grab the knife handle and pull till the sheath pops off. I highly suggest this method for fixed blades.

I've carried the one of the same two models of Emerson knives - the one with the semi-auto opening Wave feature - clipped to my front right-hand pocket since the mid-1990's. I despise having items in my front pockets and having near instant access to my knife one handed is a must for me.
Still looking for the correct-for-me way to carry a fixed blade knife on my belt without it getting hung up in things like seat belts, snagging when I get on and off the tractor, etc. Ideally, I'd love to carry a quality 3.5- or 4-inch fixed blade on my left side belt line somewhere during hunting/guiding season and when working around the ranch. Perhaps a leather or kydex horizontal option is in my future...?

I have four Spyderco that were bought for EDC and actual Emerson (was a gift from a good friend). My favorite was a Spyderco Para 2 until I bought a Manix 2 G10.

My carry method is clipped in my "offside" / "offhand" front pocket with the clip orientated in a way that allows me to open it as it leaves my pocket. I carry a handgun on my strong side.

I don't like the look of a pocket clip, but HATE having a knife floating around in my pocket so it is "function over form".

Years ago I carried a Busse Active Duty fixed blade in an IWB sheath on my weak side (handgun on my strong side). I felt well equipped but, yah, overkill. I lived in a very rural area and drove nearly an hour to work (each way) so I liked having a little "extra" for that occasion that never happened.

SIDE: I keep a Swiss Army Hiker (IIRC) in my EDC pack along with a Sypderco Delica-4. These are for the stuff that I don't want to use the more expensive Manix for.

I have a CQC15 Mini and love the wave feature. Emerson overall feel a little "clunky" but are durable for a folder. I liken them to ZT's 300 line. Too heavy but stout.

Horizontal fixed blade carry is AWFUL unless you have a huge waist line. I teeter between a size 30 and 32 trouser and CANNOT hori carry anything.

As mentioned above, I did carry a Busse Active Duty fixed blade in an IWB kydex sheath (made by Mashed Cat for me). The handle shape made it easy to EDC vertically. Not my knife but looks exactly like it:
