How do you carry your rangefinder?

Hey Guys,

I'm just curious to see how different folks carry their rangefinders. Do you have it in a hip pouch? Use a sling? Mount it to your binos?

Any ingenious systems out there? Pics highly appreciated.

Cheers!

I like the FHF rangefinder pouch, won't do much good without the FHF bino harness but together it's a slick setup.

This is what I have probably one of the best setups in terms of comfort and ease of use for both the range finder and binos.

I also have the FHF bino harness and range finder pouch. Works great. Though I am looking it the AGC harness with basement as a possible replacement. Wish the FHF had one extra pocket.

I carry mine in the right pouch on my pack most of the time. If I take off my pack it goes in my right pocket.

I've messed around with a couple of different ways to carry mine. I had something of a system dialed in with my old Nikon but now that I upgraded my rangefinder this year I'm starting this process over. The Sig Kilo comes with a pouch that is very similar to the FHF range finder pouch. The biggest differences being that it only comes in the color black and it does not come with the keeper strap. I tested it out a bit on my AGC bino harness while turkey hunting and it seems to work fairly well. The pouch is a bit more snug than I would like which causes a bit of noise when taking it out but other than that it rode comfortably and was readily accessible. How are the FHF pouches for getting the rangefinder in and out without a lot of noise? If the kilo's case doesn't loosen up I'll either look at the FHF pouch or just go to stashing it in the hip belt of my pack. I don't like that option as much though because I occasionally drop my pack. I'd just stash it in my AGC's front pouch but I already use that for snacks...

I've used the Horn Hunter Range Wrap in the past and it's quiet, pretty secure and easy access but it leaves your rangefinder totally exposed to dust and rain. I got this after I blew a couple of stalks because of the noise I made when trying to get my rangefinder out. It was quiet enough to solve that problem. Since the Sig Kilo isn't quite as water proof I'm looking for a bit more weather protection.

I need one to fit an older Leica Rangemaster, its 4" square. Any suggestions? Been looking at the FHF ballistic RF pouch.

I have the FHF range pouch attached to my AGC rig. Exactly the same as you would with the FHF bino pouch. Works great.

Like others, I've got my in an FHF pouch to the right of the bino pouch. I have rigged the lanyard to attach to my harness after having lost one to the thick Colorado oak brush.

I am not a pouch guy either, the clip and the blacktail both seem pretty slick though.

I use the Kuiu bino harness with the FHF rangefinder pouch and one of their short lanyards from the pouch to the rangefinder because I don't always have time to get it back into the pouch. On the sound note the FHF pouch is pretty much dead silent at least with my leupold RX 1000 its about as perfect a fit as you could find. I believe mine is the smaller FHF pouch.

In the shirt pocket of a Cabelas Microtex shirt typically with the lanyard around my neck. No extra anything needed.
