Like the title says, how do you carry your Garmin Alpha 300? It's bulky so not ideal for stashing in your pocket. Anyone have a holster or something they have found and like for it for in the field? How about how you carry it when around the house and may be needed for corrections?

TIA

I use the holster clip thing that came with it and clip that to my shoulder strap on my left (non-shooting) shoulder.
It's easy to hear alerts and pretty easy to grab with my right hand.

Only had my 300 for a month or so but that’s exactly how I’ve been running mine. I’m going to add a little cordage from my vest to the 300 just as a safety measure for if it ever slips out of the clip.

Alpha 200, but I assume it is the same. When hunting zip tie loop through the slot at the bottom and connected around my belt w a small caribiner, screen locked and facing upward, use the buttons for corrections and toggle between dogs. Do yourself a favor and add something reflective--I use a length of nite ize cord--and stick waterproof label with your name and phone number somewhere so you have a better chance to get it back if you lose it. It stinks, but this is an expensive piece of gear it is surprisingly easy to lose. I also use a Garmin watch with it and have the 200i so other ways to find it if lost in the field. I don't use it around the house much so can't help there.

I have a leather carrier with a carabiner that came with my 200. For the cost of shipping you can have it. I think the 300 would fit it.

I used 2-3 times and did not like it. I now just carry my 200 in a vest pocket with a lanyard clipped to a loop, so i don't loose it.

I bought one of these coin purses for my 300. I got tired of it flopping around on my off shoulder strap.

It also doubled as a nice container for the 300 in my decked drawer to prevent screen scratches while riding around in the truck. Just as easy to strap it to my pistol chest strap when walking dogs now in the off season when I dont wear my vest but still need the unit.

I generally use my watch for dog location. So being in here during a hunt isnt a big deal.

Use this exact setup on the belt of my bird bag as well. Paired with a Garmin watch is the way to go. I rarely pull it out as I can see where at least 3 dogs are at a time in the watch. If I need the tone/stim buttons I can push them easily without removing the unit (Alpha 100 in my case).
