How big is this deer?

Hey guys, found this deer July 26th in Central ID. Anyone wanna guess what class buck he will be this weekend for archery opener? I am thinking around high 170’s/ 180 by now but not sure if I have buck fever

I say definitely big enough to go chase after however the pictures appear to have been taken with a potato so guessing his size is difficult. I say go get him then measure.

Hard to tell in the pics but looks like nice forks, smallish frame based on his head/ears. I’d say a shooter, might not be as big as you hope he is but would be a beautiful archery deer

Sorry the pics were blurry. Only had my mini spotter at 1200 yards that day. Also, thanks to the replies I’ve already gotten. How much growth do you think I should’ve seen between now and that July 26th date?

Yeah like the above replies say he’s got good forks, really hard to tell frame/width just due to his head angle in the pictures. I think if you’d be happy with him, hunt him regardless of score.

As for growth between now and then, he could’ve grown a lot or he could’ve grown hardly any. I’ve seen it go both ways on bucks, some really stack on the inches later in the summer and some are super strong for the first half of the summer and then really taper off towards opener.

Any other pictures of him by chance at different angles?

I don't see that deer making 170. Probably more like 150 would be hopeful.

Like willfrye said, small frame and not much mass.

I dont think he will be 180 but nice buck none the less. My guess mid-high 160s

Looks like a solid 155-160in deer. Hard to tell without better pictures but difficult to imagine he’s much bigger than that. Go kill him!

That pic shows his frame off more…I think 170” is a good guess. Looking forward to the grip and grin pics with a score so we can see for sure. Good luck!

Shooter in my books. He looks around 22” wide or so. Good forks on him but not much mass. I’d bet around 150-160 but like others said hard with the pictures. Kill him and lets us know.
