in our neighboorhood we have a lot of crap flies, some garbage flies, and a few meat flies.
I have yet to find anything garbage flies will land on to kill them. Sticky traps will have flies land all around them all day long and not catch a single one.
Almost the same with meat flies, but the catch rate with a piece of meat in the middle of a sticky trap works a tiny bit better.
The killer setup for our crap flies is putting a single sticky mouse trap in the five gallon bucket that we use when picking up dog turds. We’ve caught up to 700 flies in one day doing this and it really cuts down on the flys that crawl through the dog door, or fly in behind you as you come in.
Farm and ranch stores often have individual sticky traps for mice that sell for $.29 and are by far the least expensive I’ve come across.
You might try mounting sticky traps in hidden areas, but if you have a cat it will find a way to investigate the smell and get stuck.
