Hornady 162g 280AI Precision Hunter Slow?

I know that Hornady knocked back the velocities on the 7PRC and why. Has anyone seen similar results with Hirnady's 280AI Load? I noticed Reloader 26 was one of the powders they had listed in their load data for the 162g Eldx.

I mostly reload for this cartridge, but I have a new 22" barrel and have been testing some factory loads. The last time I had that rifle out, I got velocities just north of 2,600 fps. With the Hornady ammo. Thinking I had a bad box, I stopped shooting it.

Today, I brought my 2nd box and got slightly better results: 2,640fps vs 2,850 box velocities. In contrast, I got 2,830 vs 2,950 with Federal's 155g TA load which was about what I expected.

I have 2 boxes for my 280Al. But I haven't shot them yet. I have a 1@8 26-inch barrel. I know a guy that shot some out of his 280Al with a 24 inch barrel. I will asked him see what he got.

Older post, but my 24” Kimber 280ai struggles to hit 2800 with the factory 162 Eldx Hornady ammo. Since their spec is 2850 I guess thats not overly slow, but still a little disappointing. RL26 hand loads easily get me over 2900 with mid range loads (Hornady load data). Just recently started working on these. Hoping to find better accuracy at the higher end of the range. 2950-3000 seems easily achievable if the accuracy can be found.
