I am a convert to the Harbor Freight Predator also. Definitely louder but mine can sit for a year and will fire up on the first pull. Hard to beat for the money.

Don't. Honda's are the best, and will last forever if taken care of.

We use them a lot at my work. They definitely are the most reliable that we’ve used.IMG_9618.jpeg

They do need to be maintained and are not made to be ran nonstop for weeks.

I have two little Yamaha 2000’s. Bought them because I had a pile of Cabela’s points and they didn’t sell Honda. Had them now for 10 years. They get used and abused and have never given me one hint of trouble. I change the oil every once in a while and drop in a new plug every couple years. They keep humming perfectly.

Another thing to consider is if you ever want to add an extended run fuel tank, the Honda has a fuel pump where others don't.

If your going to use the Honda make sure your gas is very clean. I use a funnel that has a tight mesh screen in it. The fuel pump sucks up anything and causes carb issues.
