Homemade tarp shelter

Just curious what you all use for a lightweight tarp shelter. I have saw the tyvek idea and kinda like that. I just am trying for the best shelter for early season on a budget. Even budget tarp system ideas are appreciated. Running out of funds but need a shelter

I am looking at the Kifaru sheep tarp or a couple of options from seek outside, plus a couple others for up to $150. There is the Sitka flash shelter for $250-300 depending on size

Look at luxe hiking, mountain ambush, slumberjack.

Mmmm. Homemade may be cheap but perhaps not the best value.

Jimmy tarps is a great value. Seek outside DST is a lot of tarp for the money.

Heck, I spent tons of nights under a $15 blue tarp. They shred and make a lot of noise but they work. I spent even more nights under a $30 .mil poncho.

I bought the Seek Outside DST tarp and it’s one of my favorite pieces of gear. Super versatile.
