im new to rokslide and new to hog hunting...i been using a 6.8 with handloads...seems to work fine...i recently put my grendel back together...ive loaded some 105bk's and some nosler 100g ballistic tip wanting to get more distance for longer shots. wondering wut yous think.....also is there a specific "bait" that they really like? ive seen them eat the corn at the deer feeder but thought they may like something better.....preeshiatechas

Lots use corn with koolaid in it. But they will come to straight corn too. They do have good noses so anything with potent smell. They will hit diesel fuel.
 
The kill zone in a hog is lower and further forward than that on a deer. And no bigger than a cantaloupe. Google wild hog kill zone. And figure out your max range for shooting an animal that moves and fidgets a lot with a small kill zone. My longest rifle kill for a pig is 50 yards with a 300 blackout. Longest bow kill was 35 yards and that was an anomaly. Closes bow kill was 6 yards.
