I forgot to mention, good laces that don’t come untied and yet don’t break. I’d also like a very good insole from the factory so I don’t need to go buy and fit an aftermarket insole.

But, so far these new boots you’re displaying seem to be a really interesting option.

Here are some features that I like: 10" boot, Good ankle support, Air bob soles, locking lace eyelet over the instep, NI or 600G insulation, waterproof. As light weight as possible considering the aforementioned features.

4) I haven't tried your 10" hunters - but I've always wanted to see a 6 or 8" lightweight hunting boot with mid-flex sole.

4) actual wide sizes, also, the same boot but with different stiffness options. It seems like with most companies you can get a stiffer or less stiff boot, but it might not be the boot and options you like.

I would want an 8”, non-insulated, and waterproof boot. The features that are most important are not having to break them in much and a stiff shank with grippy rubber for rocks and hard surfaces.

4) I'd like a low drop design with a very wide toe box that breaks appropriately across the metatarsal area and does not have "arch support". I have issues with my outside two toes getting crushed inward by the side of the toe box, even on German last boots that are long enough that my long toes do not contact the front of the toe box.

4. I'm looking for a boot that will "increase my speed and not leave any tracks." Also, it would be good if it would lock in my narrow heel while allowing my toes to splay. I guess I'm looking for a boot that fits like a tennis shoe and performs like a boot.

Welcome to Rokslide!! Hopefully they have the quality that my calk boots from you have, I also have a pair of packers from you that have taken a beating over the years. Thank you! I would prefer a 10" boot, non-insulated and waterproof. Would also want full leather to grease them up. Want great ankle support for side hill packing. Also like the tongue lock that Lowa uses on the Tibet if something like that is available. Possibly offer different insoles for different foot styles and make them worth having. As others have said a full rand is great.

Boots that vent well with a stiff sole, but enough of an angle toward the toe so they work well on even terrain. Ankle support is a must.

I’m actually back on the boot search.
I really like Salomon 4D GTX boots but they are not the least bit waterproof and the tread is terrible on wet or snowy ground. That boot shape and particularly heel cup, lacing system and natural arch work perfect for me.

So my ideal boot is 6-8” doesn’t really matter that much, waterproof for 300 miles minimum and ideally 500 plus, fairly flexible but could be slightly stiffer than salomons, I typically don’t need insulation unless extremely cold, good tread for sidehilling in wet and snowy conditions, a good neutral arch insole standard and laces that don’t stretch, lace locks for isolating the foot from heel and ankle. I would like a full rand and leather in a pair of boots under 3 pounds in size 14W.

I have tried 2 high end boots, Mendel & kenetrec wore the Mendel to work in for 2 weeks straight! at the 5 o’clock whistle would be off before I got to my truck and tears running down my cheeks from the excruciating pain! I’m guessing this is due to my lack of arches! But I can’t change them! So I end up buying cheap pairs that wear out quickly and can’t maintain their waterproofing even half way through the season... I’m sure it might be tough but maybe someone should come out with adjustable arches or make a high, mid, and low arch options like the width! I’d sure like to see that! I also like to see a d- loop to hook my gaiters into to cover all the laces and not add an extra wear point on the laces

#1 I personally prefer a mid height boot so I would go for a 6" but I could see the value for a higher boot sometimes, especially in wet/snowy/muddy conditions.
#2 Lightly insulated. 200 -400 grams
#3 WATERPROOF A Gortex liner is ok but the OUTSIDE is where waterproofness really matters IMO. I've worn boots with a gortex liner but not enough external water resistance and I ended up having a water bladder on both feet!
#4 I'm no boot technician but it seems like a carbon fiber plate could be cool. Stiff, light, and durable but just a little bit forgiving. Maybe a two piece or bottleneck design to let it flex nicely at the arch? Full rubber rand would be nice.

I'm assuming all those eyelets swivel I hope. A nicer factory insole sure would be a pleasant upgrade in the higher end boot market.
I really like that tread pattern, it looks very aggressive and should self clean nicely with that spacing.
High quality laces
Is there a way to long term waterproof the leather at the factory? I hate ruining beautiful leather boots with waxes and oils that almost blacken the color.
Clear country of origin on all materials and assembly. Big factor in my purchases, supersedes pricing.
"Kick off" tabs on the back of the heels
That rand looks thin like it wouldn't survive shale slopes for very long
