From Powder Valley, Hodgon is discontinuing their IMR Enduron powder line which includes 4166, 4451, 4955, 7977, and 8133. Even if their reason is to consolidate the H lineup, I'm guessing this is going to extend the shortages and cause quite a ruckus..

Good, they can put out more of the stuff people actually want. 4166 shoots good in my 223, but it meters like bricks and is 100fps slower than Varget.

I liked a few of their powders especially 8133 but unfortunately with them discontinuing them it's gonna make the other powders Like h1000 and retumbo even harder to find.

That's what I'm afraid of. Hoping they put all focus into upping production of the H line but highly doubtful, for a while at least..

This makes sense from a production standpoint. If you cannot keep up with production eliminating SKUs helps you put out more of the product the consumer wants.

Those powder lines aren't made by the same facility, or even in the same country. So, unfortunately, it won't increase the supply of the H-series powders.

Dang I liked 8133 and 7977 as alternatives to Retumbo and H1000. I have an 8lb jug of 4166 for my 7mm08 but haven't tested the loads yet.

4166 didn't meter that well, but I hand weigh most of my reloads anyway. It was very consistent and provided very good accuracy for me. That said, I had similar luck with 8208 and it metered like a champ.

If they can consolidate their line and produce more powder as a result, I say that's a good thing.

I actually liked the Enduron powders.
Shot a pound of 4451, and still have a pound of 4166, most of a 4955 pound, and 7977 that I don’t have any loads or plans for.
I’ll have to get it advertised locally

Was getting low on my last pound of 4451 for my 6.5CM. Couldn't figure out why it was removed from the more common websites. Now I know and pissed. This was a crazy accurate load for me. Back to the drawing board.

Hodgdon said they didn’t discontinue them, they are working with their supplier to get more of it. October 3rd in the comments of their Facebook post about their new StaBALL powders.

Luckily I stumbled into retumbo and finally got my RL-26 because 8133 was the replacement to those when I couldn't find them. Still have 10 lbs so I will be goof for a while before I have to do another load development.

Always had good luck with 8133 in my .300 Win mag Dang now I'll have to conserve what I have left
