Hello.

Well, got my light weight TN tent for my single hunting trips.
Now, I am looking for a new tent, to be used when I go reindeer/moose hunting in the mountains late fall.
Windy, rain, snow, ice and yes cold..Oh, yes, it can be nice weather to:)

The tent will be set up as a base tent, where we/I spott, do day trips out from. From the car, it is about a 3 hr hike to where we sett base camp.

The tent needs to fit 2.
So far, I have been looking at Hillebergs Tarra, Saivo and Keron 3. The GT is HUGE....
Saivo on the heavy side, but offering more room than the Tarra.
Weight, nobody likes a heavy pack, but a large tent with space is not lightweight and we are not moving camp, so a bit heavy in and out, well it is ok.

Anyone who use them?
Any tip, pro and cons regarding these two?

Thanks.

I have the Nammajt GT (probably spelt wrong). I plan on backpacking in Colorado for Elk in the fall. It's a little heavy but it's awesome. The vestibule has a lot of room. I only camped in it once so far and it got down to 40 but we stayed warm. I bought the 3 man but only ever plan to sleep 2 in it

I have the saivo and will be taking it to the Yukon for a 12 day sheep/caribou hunt. Only plan on sleeping 2 in it. But wanted more room just in case we r stuck in it for 2-3 days because of bad weather. It's bomb proof so far been in 18mph wind and down to 29 and no problems.
Yes a few lbs heavier then others but again it's built to take whatever.

I have the Hilleberg Kaitum 3GT

Its the red label (so not the headline black label) but it is bombproof. We have camped out in snow, winds with 50+mph gusts (thats what was on the weather report, they were definitely higher than that) and been totally fine. Their red label is better than most other tents... and it comes at a weight saving.

Hello and thanks for the reply.
The Nammatj 3GT is fine, the only thing I do not like is the sloping wall in the back, making it feel smaller.
Maybe it is just me....
Big338, will you be backpacking on the trip or using pack dogs?
