Where’s the best deals on a 1-4 or 1-6 power scope?? It’ll be put on a 150 yard gun so I don’t need a bunch of BS features on it. I’m sure there’s some high value smaller companies out there or basic scopes

Prefer 30mm tube

Trijicon eotech vortex probably be what I’ll throw on mine when I make it. Haven’t looked too hard into one yet though.

Why do you prefer a 30mm tube for a close range whitetail rifle? Seems like a lot of extra weight/size for no real benefit in a non-dialing context.

Hardly noticeable size difference and negligible weight, but more light… but, I guess I’d consider 1” too. Not too worried about it lol

I just got one of these. Seems solid upon initial inspection. Only thing I don’t like is no off between brightness settings. 30mm tube and 18 oz.

This is a common misconception. A bigger tube doesn't equate to more light transmission. A bigger exit pupil does (Objective lens diamter divided by magnification).

Only good reason for a 30mm tube is if you're dialing and a one inch tube doesn't give you enough elevation. If you want brightness you want a big objective lens, but that does create a noticeable weight/size difference.
