High Country Hunters

I think high country is relative to the habitats available to the particular animal/herd. For migratory herds, I've always thought the high country is the summer range that is typically above/higher than their winter range.

By comparison in Colorado - the bears ears herd's "high country" is considerably different in terms of elevation and habitat than the "high country" used by the roaring fork herd.
