High Country Hunt

Well, I'm beyond pleased to say I drew a sheep tag for this fall in arguably one of the best sheep units in the state. Still in disbelief and trying to wrap my head around it all. I consider myself knowledgeable about the Lost River Range as I spend a ton of time there climbing/hunting but with that said, I'm guessing I've only explored 10% of it in reality. Took some pics last fall of this ram and he's honestly the reason I applied this year. Truly magnificent animals. Appreciate any tips or advice anyone is willing to offer. I am humbled and honored to have this opportunity. Thanks, everyone.

Thanks!! DIY hunt. I plan on scouting a ton in August/early September prior to my hunt then living there until I find a good ram. Beyond excited for this awesome experience!

Decided to upgrade my spotting equipment. I already have Swarovski glass so thought I better get a decent head/tripod to get the most outta them.

Well, my hunt of a lifetime is complete!! Day three of the hunt with a good friend. Missed a dandy on opening day but this guy is a close second in my book. An hour long stalk put me at 100 yds for the kill. Very happy with this ram!!
