Hidden Creek or Yellowstone outfitters for the Thorofare?

Just found out that Yellowstone purchased another camp deeper in the Thorofare than Hawks Nest. My dad and I might be booking for 2030 soon… will report back.

Anyone ever done archery with them? For the money we’re tempted to do early rifle but I do love archery elk hunting…

Anyone care to share price? Or is that a taboo question…..

Can pm also.
13,500 for 26-28 at Yellowstone. No way to know what it’ll be by the time 2030 rolls around.

Other outfits current rates for 2025. CQ is just under 11,000 after fees and lodging charges. HC is 10,300 after taxes. Keep in mind the Cody side outfitters are 8 day trips, 6 Hunting days vs the Jackson side outfitters which offer 10 days, 8 hunting.

They did say they’d lock in 2028 prices for 2030 with a slight chance of inflation if absolutely necessary. They seem like real genuine folks so I feel good about that.

This hunt went for 5500 last year might be an option. Get your bidding card ready

Anyone know how HC did on their last rifle hunt this past year?
I had met some guys in town who were going in with them for that last hunt.
We came out a day early with CQ and I never seen them after the hunt. Hopefully they got some bulls to fill that huge cooler in the back of the truck.

That might have been the party of eight that my buddy, Mike, was one of the guides for. If so, they went 8 for 8 on good bulls.

It was probably the same group of hunters. Riding in we passed them up near the pass while they were taking a break and I could tell there were quite a few hunters. Glad to hear they did well.
The ones I spoke with in town seemed to be pretty good guys.
The little bit of weather we got was sure nice. I was concerned leading up to the hunt because of hot dry weather but the earlier hunts tagged out as well. The Thorofare did not disappoint me.

I have heard of outfits giving some incentives for guys with enough points to pull others through the draw. Anyone know if one of these outfits has been known to do that?

One outfitter that I hunted with in the Thorofare required everyone to go into the special. My 4 man group had 6 extra points so we were discounted the cost difference between the reg and special. If you applied on your own outside of the group they put together to maximize points and were not successful in the draw you lost your deposit
