I have two CZ 452 in 22lr, and had a third in 17HMR.
They shoot great after I did a $10 trigger job on them.
Nobody every complains they can't get their CZ rimfire to shoot.
I have two Tikka centerfires and wouldn't hesitate to try their rimfire.

.

for a semi auto plinker, my $$$ is on a 10/22. Just fun guns to shoot and the aftermarket parts selection is insane, if you want to tinker with it.

my current rimfire silhouette rig is a tikka t1x. It is a tack driver with decent ammo.

CZ have a good following. The guys shooting silhouette at my club that don’t shoot high dollar rigs are almost all shooting CZs.

Hard to beat a tricked out ruger 10/22.

I second that notion. A 10/22 with a trigger upgrade and a kidd barrel is perfect! I bought a 10/22 “tactical” with the hammer forged barrel and houge stock. It shot sub moa but was a heavy rig. I swapped out the barrel with a lightweight from kidd and now it consistently shoots .5moa with most 22lr ammo.

As an Australian I have to mention the Lithgow LA101. Amazing accuracy.

There was a Lithgow in 22 mag at the LGS the last time I was there. I put it back in the rack 3 times. I hope it’s gone the next time I go back. I don’t know if I have the will power. 😁

To the OP. I’ve had good luck with my 457. My wife’s RARF Target is very accurate. But if I’m hunting, I have a 77/22 with a 6x Leupold. Pure death to the squirrels.

One 22 is not a feasible option. 😁

I have a ruger american in 22lr with a the 22" barrel. It is a very accurate rifle and not picky with ammo at all. Big plus is that it uses 10/22 mags.

I can't speak for the bmr but I do have a bxr 22 with the carbon barrel and it's super finicky and picky with ammo. I'm not impressed with its accuracy either. The ruger american and my old marlin model 60 are tons more accurate.

Dont be afraid to look for an older Remington 581 also. Mine is very accurate. The 541 rifles are beautiful but you wont find one for that price range.

Marlin 880sq

If you can find one and it still has a good barrel, buy it.

You can thank me later.

Damn near a 1 hole gun at 50 yards with a barrel and trigger.

I went the bergara route last year and glad I did. Haven’t handled many other 22 bolts, so I don’t know if it’s a 22 thing, but the action isn’t the most buttery thing you’ve ever felt. The accuracy however is incredible. 5 shot groups damn near one whole at 50 yards with 3 different cheap loads. Doesn’t love the high velo stuff (stingers for example), but anything standard velo it shoots incredibly well.

I have a CZ455 that I love, accurate and the wood/blued steel is very pretty.

The tikkas ive handled have all fed and shot brilliantly, if I was looking at a stainless .22 I wouldn't hesitate to get one

I just bought a Savage B22 chassis .22LR. it is crazy fun and incredibly consistent. Right around $500 (not counting the suppressor). Accutrigger is fantastic for a rimfire.

I have bergara .17 and .22 for me and the kids to shoot competitions with. Unbelievably happy.
I wish i would have got just .22’s but the .17 is fun to shoot further with

My favorite all-rounder is a 457 stainless in an american walnut stock, topped with a little leupold 2.5x scope. Perfect for popping grouse and plinking while camping. Yo-dave trigger kit is a must

I have a Browning T Bolt that is a hoot to shoot. I had the barrel threaded and it is Hollywood silent with my suppressor and subsonic ammo.

I love the straight pull action.
