Here I thought Ryan Lamper was one of the good guys for the hunting world…

I'm simply looking for a little perspective.

Im not sure where you plan to find this "perspective" your looking for but the argument that all boundaries are arbitrary and therefore not applicable is insane especially when it comes to game management.

This wasn't a righteous campaign to shed light on arbitrary boundaries.
If you want hunting laws or game management changed, show up to a meeting, provide public comment and do it through the legal channels. Simply breaking laws you dont agree with isn't brave it just makes you a lawbreaker. I hope for his sake Ryan's side of the story sheds light on some possible explanation but at this point it sure doesn't look good...and your crusade to call in to question why boundaries exist isn't making it look any better.

Assuming you're right it's an arbitrary separation not based in best managing the wildlife. So then why should I get this upset about a guy going a unit over?
I'm not saying we shouldn't follow these rules. I'm simply looking for a little perspective.
Would you be ok with a couple days before season or a couple days after? How about if you were hunting the stateline? Anything on either side game?

This thread is mostly weird with a little bit of worthwhile banter. Lost me once it started getting personal and posting the guy's house. I understand its not difficult to find this information but I also believe in a man's (and family's) right to a little privacy.

Poacher or not that's some high school drama stuff that isn't befitting of grown men claiming righteousness. Crucify me for this opinion if you want but come on guys..

I have never seen a video this guy was in. I have seen him on various instagram pics. Absolutely zero dog in this fight (except debating whether or not I should chance getting banned for telling thorm465 to shut up already...), but the dude is selling his house. It is literally for sale. Posting it on this thread can only benefit him and his family- more potential buyers.

His web page is down too
It must be a nightmare for these companies because they really are sticking their neck out there and really trusting someone to make good decisions and represent their company well. Not to mention there is probably a personal friendship with these guys so they must feel pretty disappointed probably pretty stressful to take care of such a liability.

Not nearly enough. Cruise around the woods of north Idaho right now and every rig you pass is scanning clear cuts with thermals and moving on to the next one in 5 minutes. Doesn’t seem right to me but is legal for now.
But are they on the weapon? Thats where the issue is.

And im far from a anti thermal guy.

We probably should not allow stabilizing binos too. Game cameras are bad, anything more then iron sites are not sportsmans like.
