If you have any travel tips that would be helpful to others, please add. Or stories that we have leaned the hard way. Here is one. If something can be taken or fit out of a hole in your air line luggage it might not be there when you get your bags. My case my sleeping bag out of the tiny hole in the top of my duffel bag after arriving in Dillingham Ak. for a fly in drop moose hunt for 17 days. I borrowed 2 boy scout bags from the air taxi pilot. l

So I have been using the US mail to get my gear and guns to where I am going. It cost me about $200 each way for me to send from near Pittsburgh to Alaska. That is about 200 lbs. of gear. I use 1 double gun case and one military sealed box, both are aluminum. I sent them to a contact I have made or to the post office to my self . Contact them and tell them when you will be picking it up.

The cooler in my airline luggage it has my food and shell , on the way there and meat, fish and or capes in it for the return.

I wear my boots on the plane and ship those mucks that have waders and water proof socks stuffed in them. This is for a guided goat hunt. so no spotter and cooking gear.
