The last picture you posted looks to be correct. I just purchased an Evo frame and it was horribly uncomfortable to me. Same as the original Krux I tried years ago. I just exchanged it for the X-Curve. ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE COMFORT!!!! But like you I am a big guy. I also agree the Velcro is most definitely positioned for shorter torsos. I have not had any issues YET. BUT for the life of me I don't understand why they don't bring it up 3+ inches. If someone short had to drop it. They would still have cons of contact. If you want the ultimate lift and adjustability, go SEEK OUTSIDE!!! Revolution frame is crazy adjustable from 24-28".

Here it is adjusted to where SG recommends. There is velcro engagement. Just not much.

So, in this pic the black to grey is to far forward. So, the shoulder straps need to be adjusted down a little. The black to grey is recommended on collar bone but I would say comfort will be between top of shoulder and collar bone. Also, you need at least 35 - 40 lbs to really see how the pack will fit.

I’d send your pics over to Pete or Kurt and let them help you out. As the guys on here said....a lot of it is just a starting point to get your custom fit. Great packs when you get it dialed in for sure.

The Velcro stops at those straps. 75% of it is not even in use! I don't understand how they deem that acceptable? The X-Curve I just bought is crazy comfortable. Mine is only contacting 50% of the Velcro. I'm not a Western Hunter with huge loads. But I do know if I was. It sure would not be with 50% of a suspension!!

I find it surprising to read doubts about a pack that’s been out there quite a long time, with very minimal changes......The xcurve actually added more Velcro over the first frame to increase the adjustability range. Even so I doubt it’s perfect for everyone, which is totally fine. Below is the published material ratings on their website, because I think facts matter. I think you’ll be fine with half of your Velcro.

“This industrial hook and loop is rated at 17 pounds per square inch, 25% greater than standard velcro. Each shoulder strap has 24 square inches of contact, for a shear strength of 408 pounds per shoulder strap equalling over 800 pounds shear strength for both shoulder straps.”

It will hold, no worries.

Seen my buddies xcurve with about three inches of velcro holding each shoulder strap pack out some serious loads.

I have even more Velcro showing and was worried as you were, But I can assure you that with 150lbs and more they don't move 1 bit. Its as solid as they come. I've packed northern BC moose hind quarters with bones in pushing 175lbs and haven't had an issue. I'm 6'1" and 240 LBs and very barrel chested so needed the extra room in the chest. I did have SG add 12-14" of extra shoulder strap length as I was bottomed out with a jacket on and in the winter. Give those guys a call they will work with you and make sure it work 100% and that you are happy. And why take anything less for the amount you pay for it, For us Canadian's its almost over $1000 for their packs, it better be good.
