Been shooting mostly with my thumb button, pulled out the wrist strap release today & my point of impact is a good 4-5” right with the wrist vs thumb button (36 yards).

Ideally I’d like to be able to shoot both, have to assume I’m doing something wrong?

You probably won't be able to shoot both. The reality is that the draw length needed to shoot each one is probably different. You also are using completely different anchor points as well. If one is a jaw-type release and the other a hook, that's another issue.

There are a lot of variables. Pretty common to have different POI when switching between those two types of releases.

In addition to the previously stated points, the hooks might open towards, or away from the face and it adds movement as well. I shot a Stan Onnex Thumb and the Stan Onnex Hinge as back and forth. I figured I could change without a problem, but I had a POI change. Same handle profile, same anchor, same neck length between the two releases. Only difference was the hook opened differently between the two releases.
