Hey guys, last year I replaced a factory string with one from GAS. At the time, I was shooting the Black Eagle Rampage and Deep Impact. If I remember correctly, the guy at GAS asked me what arrow I was using and I think I told him Deep Impact. It was last summer so I can’t say for sure but the nocks fit just right. The problem is the Rampage is WAY too tight! So tight that when I pulled on the arrow to get it off the string, the nock came out. All that to ask the question, what do you guys that shoot different arrow models do about nock fit? I didn’t have this issue with the old string. And I don’t remember either nock being really loose.
Thanks,
Ryan

I shoot the same nocks on multiple arrows. I swap my rest and sight with my indoor and outdoor arrows. Using bushings I can run same nocks on a bunch of different arrows.

So all I have to do is find a bushing that fits the Rampage shaft (.204) and also fits the Deep Impact nock? That seems pretty simple.

Ethics archery (silver) and Victory make .204 nock bushings that fit .166 nocks. The ethics version seems to be more precisely mfg.

I am curious about shooting two different diameter shafts. I normally shoot BE carnivores and am now mixing in Rampages. Same spine, they weigh within a few grains of each other but the rampages hit an inch or so lower consistently. Is this to be expected?

Yes.

I use the spot hogg swap rest so I can simply change it out for different shafts.

I’ll have to look that up tonight. Never heard of it. Thanks!!

Right now I’m just messing around with two different setups. I don’t even know if I’m good enough to tell the difference! Lol

BE nocks are crap anyway. I'd put a Bohning Double lock, a Beiter, or a Firenock on. However you should get yourself a serving jig so that you can simply select the right size serving for any nock you choose.

I have some Bohnings on the way. Re-serving is above my skill level right now. I’ll tackle it in the future but if I try it now and mess it up I’d be in a bind because I don’t know anyone locally that could fix it. Thanks

It's okay you are bound to screw it up many times before you fix it. It's definitely doable, low risk as long as you don't cut your string 😁

Most all of the arrows I have are .204" arrows and I use Bohning A nocks in them all. I love how they always "snap" onto the string instead of "smoosh" onto it.
That's what I ordered. I can't find the A nocks in the store. I went to the Bass Pro in Memphis and the Sportsman's Warehouse in north MS and they had the other Bohnings but not the A. My wife was in Helena, MT over the weekend so I had her look at their Sportsman's and it was the same. Thanks

I buy the 100-packs directly from Bohning, I just got a couple two weeks ago. It seems all the retailers that do carry them put a hefty premium on them.
