harvested and it's score, I would appreciate it if you could pm me the photo with score or post it here. I have been trying to prep and get better at judging speed goats and pouring over google images and articles.

I drew an antelope tag in Oregon and want to take advantage as it is a once every 12-15 year type of hunt. I have good glass/optics and am excited to give it a go.

Dang, that's a good one. These are both run of the mill...mid 60s on the left, 68 and change on the right which h is the one I shot. Little more mass than the one my buddy got. I just liked the heart shaped horns!

thanks brandon.anderson. That is a beautiful antelope. I grew up in southern idaho and love to see the Idaho boys having some success. Congrats.

Not sure if you have seen this or not, but a few pronghorns ha e a 3rd horn on their nose. Adds at least 1/8 to the score! Lol...just kidding, but it is cool

Take a look at pronghornguideservice dot com. They have a field judging section on their web site. They also sell a field judging dvd and I believe they had content on their blog ref field judging. Regardless, great resource and worth looking just to have your jaw drop at the size of bucks they kill.

This is a large bodied buck.

His eye sockets are roughly 2" and his ears roughly 6". He was quite a bit larger than the does around him.
This is a smaller buck.

His eye sockets are roughly 1.5" with 5" ears. He was about the same body size as the does he was with.

The mirage in the middle of the day will make them look much larger. I would strongly discourage judging a buck for the first time mid day and shooting him. The morning and evening are the best and you would need to be very certain you were chasing the right buck mid day if you had scouted him earlier.

All these net at least awards book (80), officially scored, all from Wyoming.

My wife and I have a ton of them in the 76-79 range:

This one is 76-77ish, 15.5 inches, but a tiny bodied antelope, cool shape:

This one grossed 80, netted 78 and change:

Net around 78, prongs too low and not tall enough...great prongs though:

76-77 or so:

Grosses 80, but nets out of the awards book, 16 6/8 length and a cool buck:
