Just received my SO Cimarron today and I gotta say it is a gorgeous tent. All the seams are straight, zippers run beautiful, and the DCF fabric is crazy light. What I cant figure is their new staking system. In the videos on the website the points all have a large loop. Mine has the small black line locs. I see no way to attach the gate keeper system. The two components are in the attached picture. I am looking to attach the gatekeeper system to the tent and the nest, but for the life of me can't figure out how these are all supposed to go together.

Looks like you would just run your loop of cord material through that hole in the gatekeeper buckle and that would hold it all together. The bottom side of the keeper buckle in your pic. I don't know, I usually just run a bivy under a tarp or in a floorless shelter.

What are you using the gate keeper to accomplish? I prefer the lineloc and cord far more than a stake through a webbing loop.
Where are you located?
Can you slide the gate keeper in the loop holding the line loc?

This is exactly what I ended up doing. Once I took the buckles off the webbing it made much more sense. Also, I rerouted the webbing through the buckles which helped. I am leaving the gate keeper straps attached to the tent itself where the nest will be anchored. and will use line locs at all the other points. This setup is awesome once you figure out the gate keeper system.

So here it is, not fully staked out, really just the 4 corners. But this is the SO DCF Cimarron, with carbon fiber center pole, and the LBO nest rather than the Cimarron 1/2 nest. Will be used as a backpacking/hunting 1p shelter, so gobs of gear room for pack, stove, firewood, and chair. Im leaning toward the large U Turn SO stove to go in it.

To use the nest and leave it attached all the time while using line locs here is what I do .

I tie a slip knot in the nest tie outs , I loop the nest slip knot over the stake out loop but before the knot on the tie out loops of tent . That way it all stays together and I just slide the nest off if not planning to use it.

Also one cool thing about DCF is you can stick on loops if you like to add attachments for say a bivy or loop if you like . These should be on our site soon or send an email . We should have made some a while ago
