Well, I have the bottom half of a DIY gunbearer put together, but I really cannot seem to find the right cam action buckle for the top half. Maybe I'm just crazy, but all the ones I see on Amazon look like they are designed for the webbing to go through them like a belt.

Can you post a pic of what you are looking for? Looking at the gun bearer the only hardware i see are triglides and ladderlocs.

That buckle looks like it's supposed to have the webbing pass one direction, as opposed to doubling back over on itself for a quick release. There's no slot on the back side for the webbing to attach to it either.

I could be wrong but i believe what i posted will do what you describe. Those slots are to weave webbing through to be sewn on the fixed side. I dont know how to share link from amazon app.

After all that, I figured out how to make paracord work with nothing but knots. I couldn't source a buckle in time for my MT trip that's coming up.

I’d love a follow up and some pictures of what you made. I’m debating whether to make my own with paracord and webbing or just figure out how to put the SG on my exo pack.

Holy thread resurrection! I can’t even remember how I did it with paracord. Haven’t hunted mountains with a rifle in the five seasons since then.
