Aeropress with a good french press as second choice. Our french press is collecting dust now that we have the Aero...

Give this a try or any of the others they offer. Both coffee as well as a slight creamer flavoring. Had it for the first time in sheep camp - it was very good.

Honestly if you really want good coffee learn to roast your own. You can purchase everything that you need here, https://www.sweetmarias.com/. Yes a roaster can be expensive, but it truly is the only way to get really good coffee.

I used to do that quite a bit! I had a nice little propane powered drum roaster I bought through an email address from a guy out of Taiwan haha... It worked well. I sold it for some skis. Now i just use an old air popcorn popper when I do roast it

I ordered some mountain opps hot ignite last year, to try out (in the same boat looking to replace instant coffee). I was skeptical, but its now my go to when I need to get up and get going in a hurry. I've used pour overs and a french press in the field, but being able to dump a packet into hot water and go is tough to beat.

Camp coffee is an acquired taste and a lot like boots and broadheads: everyone has their favorites.
It just takes a lot of experimenting.

If you run a JetBoil or MSR Reactor/WindBurner, just get their lightweight french press accessories. Then, find a good bean and grind it up and take it with you. Or, SnowPeak makes a very handy little titanium press as well.

I buy Columbian dark roast. usually a can of Kirkland from Costco. Percolator.

I stop buying Starbucks a long time ago.. imo, it's over priced coffee, bitter, and Starbucks is anti-gun.

Hands down best coffee comes from a blue ceramic coffee pot, add coffee and water and bring to a boil, boil for 5 minutes then pour cold water down the spout to settle the grounds and pour... try it !
