Come April I will be the owner of a custom .45 cal smokeless muzzleloader. Builder states he can get a 5 inch group at 1,000 yds.
Scopes I've used in the past- Nikon Monarch 4-16x50, Sightron 8-32x56, Vortex Diamondback 3-14x50.
Here's what I'm looking for:
56mm reticle with 34+mm tube.
6 minimum magnification
Max mag- no limit. I like to be able to zoom
Illuminated is a must.
Rather use dial than any sort of BDC or holdover
Shots will be anywhere from 100 yards to 600. This is lazy hunting. Drive 4 wheeler to back of stand. Gun in case entire time. Open stand, sit down, uncase. Repeat. Not too worried about it getting knocked or broken. This isn't like a backcountry on carrying miles scope.
No price point in mind. Literally willing to spend whatever.
