Got my youngest son a Sony ax53 for Christmas. He’s been having fun with it. It takes good video in all kinds of light.
He’s 20 years old and videos his hunts and scouting sessions. Fun to go back and watch as a family.
The cool thing is he can take clips and send directly to his phone for sharing.
I really like Sony. AX53 will be easier to use. AX700 is a more prosumer camera better image quality.
Go with the AX53 if: You need an easy-to-use, "run-and-gun" camera. Its has better image stabilization and better zoom range make it highly forgiving for handheld shooting.
Go with the AX700 if: You need a "B-cam" to match professional equipment, plan on color-grading your footage, or want a cinematic look with shallow depth-of-field. The 1-inch sensor produces a significantly cleaner, richer image. Better in low light.
