Yes, not sexy but wife can shoot it and go boom, boom, boom.

Prices up to 500.

Do I need to spend 500?

Don’t think you need to spend that much but if you do, just get an Eotec. Otherwise Sig Sauer, Vortex, Burris and a few others are all solid choices. I put a Sig Sauer Romeo5 red dot on an AR and it works great, though it’s not a reflex.

I'm a big fan of the Aimpoint PRO. Under $500 and can be found on sale for under $400 pretty regularly. Hard to beat for the price.

There are some really good higher end options already mentioned. For a budget friendly option the Bushnell TRS-25 is pretty good. Can be had for under $100.

Thanks, guys. I do get a little confused on the reflex/red dot/hologram designations and marketing. Like the idea of the small, low profile versions - reliability & waterproof tops looks.

Had looked at the Sig Romeo 5, Burris versions, and Meopta's version.

I have a Bushnell red dot that is 20 +/- yrs old and it still works great. Hoping for something that'll shoot a little better w both eyes open.

For small low profile, I installed a Vortex Venom on my Ruger PCC.

Holosun are damn rugged and feature packed for their price point. I’ve run them through 2,000 round carbine course zero issues. It’s what I tell guys to get when they can’t afford a Trijicon, Leupold or AIMPOINT. EOTECH is not in the same league. Their battery life is terrible, the ones I used while Active drew power even when off and always seemed to die right when needed. Also in sub zero temps I saw at least three that had huge impact shifts (talking feet at 25 meters)
