I have two rifles I am looking to put new scopes on.

1st rifle - Winchester XPR, .350 legend. Max shot distance is 200 yards. Would like to keep the cost under $600.

2nd rifle - Tikka T3x, .308 Win. Max shot distance is 350-400 yards. Would like to keep the cost under $1100. An illuminated reticle would be nice, but is not a deal breaker.

What says the collective Rokslide wisdom?

That's probably a safe bet...
For good reason, though. They get a lot of love here because they work so well. I apologize if I hijacked your thread. Are you looking for mils/moa? Are you going to dial?

For the 350, I bet you'll get a lot of swfa 6x suggestions. It's 220-300 bucks, durable, and good magnification for your expected range. Also has a good reticle for holding on the 350 at 200 yards, but dials great as well. It's probably what I'd choose.

The 308 could get the same treatment. But based on your budget I'd guess you want a little more. Swfa makes a 3-9 with hd glass that gets a lot of love, too, but are tough to get. For me, I'd look into some trijicon offerings. The credo line has a solid reputation, offers illumination, and maybe a little more zoom if you're into that.

It's our pleasure, as a long standing supporting vendor here, to discuss the different available options and special opportunities with you. Please give a call, 516-217-1000, when you have the time. Thanks

How's that 3-9x40 AccuPoint compare to the 3-9x40 Credo?

It is ~4 oz lighter and has a wire reticle instead of etched, uses fiber optic/tritium instead of battery, only available with MOA adjustments.

The Credo is made in Japan by LOW.

The Accupoint is assembled in the USA out of a mix of components due to the use of tritium. I have read online that they use Meopta glass and scope bodies from LOW but I don't know this firsthand.

I have several of the Credo scopes and I like them.

Regarding the Trijicon mil dot, my 6.5x55 and 223 are essentially the same. 308 ballistics would be very close. Again, if I was dialing I'd follow Form's methods but I'm not practicing enough for that and don't currently have the

1.5" high at 100 and 1.5" low at 200. 1/2 Mil is 250, 1 Mil is 300, 1.5 mils is 350 and 2 mils is 400

If youre looking to save a few bucks on the .350 legend Vottex had thier crossfire II 3-9x50 with the straight wall bdc reticle specifically made for .350 legend and .450 bushmaster

The trijicon credo hx 2.5-15x42 might be worth a look for the 308. SFP, MOA illuminated reticle, zero stop, good glass. Think they can be had for around $900. I remember someone on here doing durability / drop test on them, and they held up well.
